Making an ash selfbow utilizing hand tools.
The bow draws 35 pounds at 28″. It’s exceptionally smooth and quick shooter. Tips overlays and arrow rack are made from Zebra wood. I utilized natural leather for deal with wrap and lineen twine for bow string. The bow is heat dealt with and it took 1″ of set. I’m really pleased with the result. I called the bow “Phoenix”. To develop this bow I utilized ash (Fraxinus excelsior) wood. At largest limbs are 2 1/4″ broad.
