Structure an English design longbow utilizing hand tools. I utilized 70″ long narrow red oak bow stave for this task. I rounded the tummy on the entire bow’s length. The bow wound up drawing 45-50lb at 29″.
On the manage I used stamped natural leather. On the arrows pass point I glued a piece of cow horn. Sadly I had inadequate horns to make a complete nocks like these, that were used on English yew longbow in the past. The bow took some set, however I’m actually delighted with the outcome. Shoots simply terrific!
